Pups at Play

Wolf Pup

Wolf pups that is…

This little blue-eyed guy is laying on his back waiting for his brother to pounce on him and continue the fun.  All of the fun actually have a purpose. Wolf pups chase each other and roll around the way dog puppies do, however these young wolves are honing their skills.  One day, all of their practice will come in handy the day they join the pack for their first real hunt for large animals.

Most wolf pups are born with blue eyes, which gradually change to a yellow-gold color by eight to sixteen weeks, though sometimes their eyes can change color much later.

Finished size of this drawing is 8×10.  Let me know if you are interested in seeing more of my artwork as I prepare for a tour of my own art studio!
