Cooling Off

Cinnabar Cooling Off

Cinnabar Cooling Off

The idea for this drawing actually had been bouncing around in my head for quite some time.  The idea goes back to my time living in North Dallas, Tx.  I really enjoyed living there, mostly because of my horse Cinnabar.  Cinnabar was boarded with a few other horses on a 20 acre ranch.  All of the horses were able to roam freely in the pastures.  There were a few creeks on the property that fed into one big pond.  During the hottest part of the day, all of the horses seemed to congregate in and around the pond and just stand there to cool off.   I sure miss those days!
